Mobile App Development
iOS and Android applications — consumer apps, business apps and companion apps — built on a backend designed to serve every platform you'll need next.
Should we build native or cross-platform?
It depends on the product. Cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter suit many business and content apps and share one codebase. Native Swift and Kotlin suit apps that depend heavily on device hardware, advanced media or platform-specific UX. We recommend one during POC planning, based on your features, team and roadmap.
Mobile apps live under constraints web apps don't: app store review, intermittent connectivity, push notification permissions, battery and background limits, and users who update on their own schedule. A good mobile POC tests those constraints early instead of discovering them at submission time.
What a mobile app POC typically proves
- The core flow feels right on a real device, not just in a prototype
- Device capabilities (camera, location, Bluetooth, media) work as needed
- Sign-in, offline behaviour and sync are viable
- The API supports mobile performance and versioning needs
- Store policy questions (payments, permissions) have answers
Exact scope is agreed before development and depends on your objectives.
What we build
Mobile apps for customers, teams and connected experiences
Consumer apps
Onboarding, accounts, subscriptions, notifications and engagement features for public apps.
Business & field apps
Apps for staff and partners: data capture, approvals, offline work and sync with back-office systems.
Streaming & media apps
Mobile OTT apps with playback, downloads, casting and entitlements. OTT development.
Companion apps
Second-screen and remote-control experiences, device pairing and TV sign-in via phone.
Commerce apps
Catalogue, cart, payments and order tracking connected to your existing commerce platform.
App rescue & upgrades
Taking over existing apps, updating SDKs and OS targets, fixing crashes and improving performance.
How we approach it
Built for the store, the device and the next release
Typical technologies
We choose technology per project. See our technology approach.
Store readiness
Privacy disclosures, permission prompts and payment rules considered from the POC, not the week before launch.
API versioning
Old app versions stay in use for months. The backend must keep supporting them gracefully.
Offline & sync
Decide early what works without a connection — it shapes the data model.
Release pipeline
Automated builds, test distribution and crash reporting so stakeholders can try every iteration.
Mobile app FAQ
Can you build both the app and the backend?
Yes. We build the mobile apps and the APIs, admin tools and integrations they depend on — or connect to your existing backend.
Can stakeholders test the POC on their own phones?
Yes. We distribute test builds through TestFlight and Google Play internal testing (or equivalent) so stakeholders can use the POC on real devices.
Do you publish apps to the App Store and Google Play?
We prepare and submit builds under your developer accounts and support you through review. Approval decisions are made by Apple and Google.
