POC basics
What is a software POC?
A software proof of concept is a working, deliberately narrow piece of software that answers specific questions — technical feasibility, integrations, user experience or architecture — before investing in full development. Learn about our POC development.
How quickly can a POC be built?
It depends on scope and complexity: how many user journeys, platforms and integrations are involved, and how ready the inputs are. We agree a realistic timeline once the POC scope and success criteria are defined, instead of quoting a fixed number of days for every project.
Can the POC become the production application?
Often, yes. We architect POCs around the future product, so validated parts can be hardened and extended. Any shortcuts taken to validate faster are documented, along with what needs to change before production.
How is a POC different from an MVP?
A POC validates whether something works and is worth building, usually with a limited audience. An MVP is the smallest version of the product released to real users. A POC often informs what the MVP should contain. Read our POC vs prototype vs MVP guide.
Can you provide a technical architecture before development?
Yes. Architecture and technical design are part of POC planning, and can also be delivered as a standalone discovery engagement for larger programmes.
Getting started
What information do you need to start?
A description of the idea or problem, who it's for, any existing documents, designs or systems, and what decision the POC should help you make. A formal specification helps but isn't required.
Can you work with our existing design?
Yes. We can implement approved designs from Figma or similar tools, and will flag anything that may be difficult on specific platforms such as Smart TVs.
Can you work with our existing APIs?
Yes. We can build new web, mobile or TV applications on your existing APIs, extend them, or add an API layer that adapts legacy systems for new clients.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes. Let us know in the contact form and we'll put an NDA in place before you share confidential information.
How is pricing determined?
Each engagement is scoped to your requirements. After an initial conversation we propose scope, approach and timeline before any commitment. See engagement models.
Platforms & capabilities
Do you build OTT applications?
Yes. We build OTT and streaming services across web, mobile and Smart TV platforms, including the CMS, APIs, entitlements, playback and integrations behind them. OTT development.
Which TV platforms do you support?
Roku, Android TV and Google TV, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV (tvOS), Samsung Tizen and LG webOS. Other TV ecosystems can be considered where required. Smart TV app development.
Do you build both frontend and backend?
Yes — web, mobile and TV clients as well as APIs, databases, CMS, integrations and cloud infrastructure. We can also take on just one side.
Can you modernize an existing application?
Yes. We assess, stabilise and incrementally modernize existing applications while they stay in use. Software modernization.
Do you build AI features?
Where they solve a real product problem — such as search, summarisation or recommendations — we integrate AI capabilities and validate quality, cost and latency in a POC first.
Working together
Do you provide source code?
Source code ownership and handover terms are set out in the project agreement. We set up repositories and environments so that handover to your team is straightforward.
Can you continue development after the POC?
Yes. After validation we can build the full product, provide a dedicated team, or hand over to your in-house developers.
Do you provide maintenance?
Yes. Ongoing development, monitoring, platform updates and optimisation can continue after launch.
Can you work with an existing development team?
Yes. We work alongside in-house teams and agencies, either owning part of the product or contributing within your process.
Do you work with startups?
Yes. POC-first development is especially useful for founders who need to validate an idea or demonstrate it to investors before committing to a full build.
Do you work with enterprises?
Yes. We build internal platforms, customer portals, APIs and integrations, and modernize existing systems — incrementally and within enterprise architecture and security requirements.

Have a product idea? Let's define the first working version.
Share an idea, a requirements document, designs or an existing application. We'll review it and come back with the appropriate next step — a POC is scoped separately around your goals.
- Talk directly with an engineer
- NDA available before you share details
- Clear POC scope agreed before development
